Congratulations to the Saville Sports Centre's (SSC) Kristina Sanjevic, who along with doubles partner Carol Zhao, captured top prize in the Girls Under-18 doubles event at the Canadian Junior National Tennis Championships.

Cheng Wins Under-18 Title at Stanley Park Open

Congratulations to the Saville Sports Centre's (SSC) Jena Cheng who won the Under-18 girls tennis event at the 79th Everyday Champions Stanley Park Open, which took place July 12-16, 2010 in Vancouver.

SSC Coaches Battle for Supremacy in Provincial Tennis Championships

In the men’s final of the Alberta Open Provincial Tennis Championships, it came down to a battle between two Saville Sports Centre (SSC) coaches – Shaun Khambral and Carson Bell. It took three exciting sets, but in the end Khambral emerged the champion with a 6-4; 4-6; 7-5 victory.

Sanjevic and Surin Team Up to Capture ITF Doubles Title

The Saville Sports Centre’s (SSC) Kristina Sanjevic and Kimberley-Ann Surin, daughter of former Canadian track and field star and 1996 Olympic gold medalist Bruny Surin, teamed up to win the girls doubles title at the 2010 Canadian Saville ITF Under-18 tennis tournament.

Canadian Saville ITF U18 Tennis Tournament: July 4th-10th

The University of Alberta Outdoor Tennis Centre (OTC) will be hosting an International Tennis Federation (ITF) Under-18 tennis tournament July 6th-10th with Qualifying taking place on July 4th-5th. The event is part of a three week Western Canadian Junior ITF Circuit with events also being held in Vancouver and Winnipeg.

U of A Summer Camps on South Campus

University of Alberta summer sport and activity camps get underway next week and the Saville Sports Centre (SSC) and Foote Field will be buzzing with hundreds of children participating in various sports and activities. Khambral and Cheng Win Rob Bell Memorial Tennis Tournament

Shaun Khambral and Jena Cheng represented the Saville Sports Centre (SSC) very well in capturing the men’s and ladies singles titles at the Rob Bell Memorial Tournament, which took place June 17th-20th at the UofA Outdoor Tennis Centre.
